"Carpe diem." -Since the 11th of March 2011...-

Since the 11th of March 2011 (the earthquake, tsunami and nuclear plants.), I feel, much more than before, that every single day is a treasure, a precious present in our lives.

Imagine if today is the last day of your life. You will learn how to set priorities correctly to spend a day. That's what I try to do and do more than before, since the big Earthquake attacked Touhoku and Kantou area. I'm not being pessimistic, but I'm learning what is really important in my life more day by day.

My heart is overwhelmed with gratitude to be able to wake up in the morning safe. I feel happy to be able to see the sunlight,  the blue sky and to feel the breeze. Now I feel that an ordinary life is actually a paradise for every human being.

I thank my friends and listeners of my music that keep encouraging me, my family and all of us in Japan who are in this unbelievably difficult situation / time by sending messages for me or calling me from all over the world. There are friends who offer a helping hand to us, and also friends who offer their houses / rooms for me and my family in their countries. Your words, helping hands, various offers for us to survive... our hearts were very much moved. Once again, I realised that friendship transcends national boundaries.

I'm very happy to have such compassionate friends, friends who have heart of gold. My family and I express our most heartfelt thanks to all of you who care for us.

Carpe diem, seize the day.

Love and Peace,
Chiharu
